Ascends Irc Network's Linking Server Information

 

At Ascends Irc Network, we strive to provide to our users the most reliable, stable and secure of network servers. In order for AIN to continue this tradition of high quality service, you need to understand our process of selection is standard for all applicants.

There are three (3) phases to this application.  Please read the following outline, carefully.  If you feel that AIN's prescreening process is a waste of your time - then do not proceed any further.  This is standard process for each applicant - no exceptions given, for any one or any reason.

  1. Promoting Yourself
    1. About Yourself
    2. Knowledge of *nix/computers/programming/routing 
    3. How much time you spend and have spent on IRC
    4. Why you wish to dedicate time and resources on AIN
  2. Promoting Your Server
    1. Defining Server capabilities (ports, memory, speed, version)
    2. Listing of all persons with Root/Shell access
    3. Server Owner Information
    4. At this point, you will be sent an application for your server will be sent to you via email or IRC.  This application is to be completed in its entirety and without falsification of information.  If a problem arises, contact Routing Team.
  3. Approval/Denial
    1. The approval and declination of the server will be judged by the application we have received from you.  Afterwards, you will be contacted by a routing team member who will further advise you on the remainder of the process.

Whereas you may feel that AIN's demands are unfair or even appear strict, understand that our goal is to continually and constantly provide to AIN users, the best in services and network stability and reliability.

Do not approach AIN staff or administration members regarding linking status or seeking approval to bypass procedures.  Despite whether or not you are a known AIN user - our process is the same for all linking requests.  No exceptions given.
